Mike Everhart welcomes you to his 1920’s Colonial home he purchased in November of 1993. As you enter Mike’s property note the beautiful English garden and the beautiful arched doorways at the main entrance and on the French doors on the front porch. Both sets of French doors were found in the basement. This home has been repainted inside and out. Mike has painstakingly restored by hand the woodwork on the front door, staircase and the living room mantle. He has also stripped the base boards, chair rails, and doors of nearly 70 years of paint.

As you browse the living room note the beautiful custom built-ins in the living room which are made of cherry wood and built by Seweryn Sych Custom Cabinets. Also note the two paintings, created by Jennifer McClain, who lives next door. The one is a rendering of the home and the other is a sunset from Mike’s back deck. The living room has been completely renovated and is now more contemporary compared to the previous style. It includes new Stickley furniture, recessed lighting and the red leather club chairs.

The kitchen was redone in 2000. It was gutted down to the joists and reconfigured to an efficient, modern galley kitchen with a black and white retro theme. The sun room was redesigned as a sitting room and office. It was repainted using colors that change throughout the day and give the room a different feel depending on the time of day. Note the Tiffany blue ceiling and the recessed lighting. The redesign allows for a quiet and scenic work space and a great place to spend Saturday mornings reading the paper.
