305 Richey Avenue

305 Richey Avenue

When Jeff and Michele Heil went house-hunting in 1999, convenience was at the top of their must-have list. They chose Observatory Hill because it's only 15 minutes from just about anywhere. But in the eight years since then, they've come to appreciate the neighborhood for other reasons---the friendly people, safe environment, and proximity to recreational opportunities make it ideal for their growing family.

The Heil's stately three-story at 305 Richey Avenue, constructed sometime around the turn of the last century, is a classic brick house with many original details. Be sure to check out the woodwork in the entry way and the newly exposed fireplace in the living room. The antique dining room furniture, refurbished by Bill Lewicke of Zelienople, accents the room's historic character.

The house was first renovated in the late 1990s; since then, the Heil's have continued updating and refurbishing their home. Over the years, they've added new lighting fixtures, hardwood floors in the bedrooms, a ceramic tile floor in the kitchen, and crown molding in the living room, master bedroom, and bathrooms. Take a peek at the backyard patio and Jacuzzi!
