3500 Perrysville Avenue

3500 Perrysville Avenue

Owned by Bill & Maggie Oberst. History: Built in 1920 when Perrysville Avenue was actually Perrysville plank road. In the 40s, 50s and 60s the home changed hands through various members of several families. In 2005 it was purchased and underwent some renovations and was re-sold. This single family home is a craftsman style bungalow. It’s 2400 sq feet, with 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a two-car garage. The current owners purchased it in December 2008, and began renovations January 2009. The house will be on the market when renovations are complete.

The owners have lived in Observatory since 1995 and have renovated many homes in the area. Bill is an old house buff. They were attracted to the Arts and crafts style architectural detail of the house, the stone exterior and Spanish roof

Renovations: Home is currently under renovation, which includes a new kitchen, master bath, replacement of some of the arched windows, hardwood floor refinishing and fresh paint.

The Details: The house has Marble fireplace, beamed ceilings, French doors, arched windows, hardwood floors, Spanish tile roof, two-car garage with tunnel way into basement.
