This attractive house, built in 1955, has undergone an extensive renovation. Sarah Parker has been scraping paint, moving dirt, and hauling materials and furniture for years to make this charming house emblematic of her own style.
Sarah has redone this house from top to bottom. Every room has been re-designed, refurbished, and updated, and the kitchen is Sarah's own design. She was careful to remain faithful to the room's original character while adding new cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, sleek countertops, and a wine fridge. The modern look fits in well with the mid-century lines of the house.
Sarah removed the carpeting on the first and second floors of the house to expose the beautiful hardwood floors, and she added new vinyl replacement windows that reflect the original six-over-six design. Recessed lighting in the entryway, kitchen, and refinished basement make the interior bright and welcoming. The living room's gas fireplace boasts an original mantle and marble tile.
