Built in 1932, this charming house was home for years to many generations of the Sweeney family. Today, it's the home of Adam and Jennifer Rittenhouse Puhak, who love the friendly neighborhood of Acorn Hill and its proximity to Riverview Park. They also appreciate the neighborhood's convenience—it's just a short hop from several important roads but still such a secluded, quiet place.
Adam and Jennifer enjoy their cozy front porch and spacious lawn, but it's the windows in this house that really stand out. The leaded glass bay window in the dining room is particularly beautiful. Three stained glass windows highlight the staircase, and two more grace the first floor. You'll see yet another stained glass window on the landing below the second floor. Peek into the bathroom for a look at the boat on the small stained glass window there.
The entrance door is original, as is the back staircase to the kitchen. But, like most older houses, this one has received its share of modern updates—the basement is refinished, with new flooring.
